Xiegu G7250 SDR HF Transceiver with 100 W and Direct RF Sampling
The Xiegu G7250 is a modern SDR transceiver for HF and the 6 m band. It combines Direct RF Sampling with separate RF and control units, a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen, extensive DSP signal processing and an integrated automatic antenna tuner. Output power is up to 100 W on HF and up to 90 W on 50 MHz.
The operating concept combines a touchscreen, spectrum and waterfall displays with conventional buttons and rotary controls. Despite its digital architecture, the G7250 therefore remains a radio that can be operated directly without relying solely on menu navigation.
Step up to full 100W HF operation without building the station around a separate amplifier. The G7250 puts full-power output in the radio itself, reducing the extra equipment, cabling, and power connections needed around the operating position.
Keep the display, tuning knob, buttons, and touchscreen where you operate, while placing the RF unit where it best fits the station. The split RF unit and control head give you more flexibility without turning the desk into a stack of boxes.
A built-in USB sound card and USB interface support a one-cable FT8 computer connection. CW and digital-mode tools are integrated into the radio, so CE-19 and DE-19 interfaces are not required for the G7250's supported digital-mode connectivity.
Keep two HF/6m antennas connected and select between them through the built-in antenna switch. The internal automatic tuner adds practical matching support without requiring another tuner on the desk in many station setups.
Full-power operation is built into the radio: up to 100W on HF and 90W on the 50MHz band. It is a direct step up for operators who want more output than a 20W-class radio without adding a separate amplifier.
The RF main unit and 7-inch control head can be positioned independently. Keep the controls within easy reach and place the RF unit where it works best for your station layout.
The high-resolution capacitive touchscreen makes the spectrum and waterfall easy to read, while dedicated physical buttons and an optical tuning knob remain available for the controls operators use most often.
Incoming RF is converted and processed through an A/D and FPGA signal chain. Multi-stage filtering and high-Q inductors support signal selection across the covered bands.
The internal automatic antenna tuner covers a specified 20–150Ω matching range. A new tuning cycle completes within 10 seconds, while saved tuning parameters can be recalled in as little as 0.1 second when returning to a previously tuned band.
The integrated sound card and USB interface simplify computer connection for supported digital-mode operation, including a one-cable FT8 workflow. Keep the connection chain straightforward and the station easier to maintain.
